Entry Requirements

Visa: Most visitors need a visa to enter Ghana. Apply at a Ghanaian embassy/high commission or through the Ghana eVisa system.

ECOWAS Citizens: No visa required.

Passport Validity: At least 6 months from your arrival date.

Yellow Fever Certificate: Mandatory for all travelers above 9 months old – checked upon arrival.

Transfers: Taxis, hotel shuttles, and ride-hailing apps like Uber and Bolt are readily available.

Health & Safety

Accra is one of West Africa’s safest capitals, but usual precautions apply.

Drink bottled or filtered water.

Hospitals and pharmacies are available in Accra.

Strong 4G/5G coverage in Accra.
